Product Design Optimization
Many of our customers involve us in the early stages of product development. This enables them to take full advantage of our knowledge of plastics and production technology, high-pressure injection molding, structural foam molding, sequential injection molding, etc., as well as the expertise of our production partners, including material suppliers and electronics manufacturers.
4 Stages of Developing a Product
Before a product is manufactured, it goes through four distinct stages. Throughout these stages, we are happy to offer valuable advice on the feasibility of your product, which can help improve its quality and save both time and money. The first stage is concept development.
1. Concept development
We start with the understanding that you know your market inside out, and we are experts in plastics. We can create outstanding and successful products by combining these two areas of expertise. Over the years, many of our components have originated as rough product ideas brought to us by our customers.
2. Feasibility studies
Do you already have a prototype? If so, we can test its feasibility immediately, either with the help of a short quick scan of the plastic or a more detailed study. At this stage, we will help you translate your requirements into technical specifications, advise you on material selection, consider manufacturability, and provide guidance on pricing.We can even do a pre-feasibility study on your existing sketches or 3D models to give you some key suggestions and design ideas in advance.
3. Quotation
We can usually issue a quote immediately if you have a detailed product design or an existing product. The quote will be broken down into tooling costs and product prices. We will always let you know if we see any room for improvement in the product design that could improve product quality and reduce production costs. At this stage, we also often perform a mold flow analysis.
4. Start of manufacture
Before we embark on mold production, our engineers will engage in a detailed discussion with your team to ensure that all designs are meticulously planned. Following this, we will meticulously examine the exact mold structure, perform thorough die flow calculations, and consider factors such as draft angles. Strength analysis may also be part of this engineering phase.

There is no additional charge for product design optimization. The optimized part design is priced the same as any other part or even lower than the original.
